On Tour Events was approached by the Wonderland Running Group: Which is a new initiative team building exercise based festival. Which takes place across 5 locations across London over a 5-week period
Wonderland approached us with their event needs wanting to create a festival with the practicality of short set up times but faced with sometimes poor access to sites, as well as making sure the production side of the festival was to a very high standard. Each festival ran aocrss 3 days across the weekend, we would work 5 days on 2 off before we were back on the site ready to build again. The production package that was put together consisted of a custom 7 meter by 5 meter festival stage which incorporated LED screen either side of the stage via PA wings. Each screen measured 4 meter wide x 2.5 meters tall with additional screen around the DJ Booth. The LED screen was primarily used for sponsorship and branding opportunities throughout the day, but we also had some live feeds to utilise as well.
A flown 12 box d&b Q1 PA system was spec'd for this tour utilising additional B2 subs mixed with Q-subs and additional Q7 as infill and outfill. A Midas pro6 took care of front of house, Shure wireless radio mics we spec'd for the job due to the reliability and consistency of this product. (for us there's no other option when it comes to radio mics) In addition to the LED screen we supplied a package of 16 moving head fixtures, comprised of a mixture of beams, spots and then K10 B-Eye fixtures which did all the eye candy work throughout the day.
At two of the locations we also installed an additional stage extension set at 1 m high extending the stage out an additional 10 meters. This gave them a catwalk, fashion show style runway allowing the artists to walk out in front of the audience engaging and promoting the brand. We must say a huge thanks to Visual Choices who designed all of the custom artwork for the LED screens and also put together some of the audio files for guest speakers as surprise acts.
When Wonderland approached us with the event requirements & allocated budget, we knew it would be tight but we also know it would be doable. The whole tour was able to fit in 3 long wheel base vans minimising congestion charges in London and also adhering to some of the transport restrictions that were in place. Due to where some of the festivals were taking place larger trucks wouldn't have been an option.
Pleased to say that our client was not only pleased but also awarded On Tour Events a further three year contract to supply stage, sound, screen & event lighting at their festival. This reinforces our belief that our services are hard to match.
